Abstract
Artificial intelligence has been widely used in the security industry. Intelligent video surveillance converts data into images on the screen. These postmodern spectacles of images involve daily life in the “image process,” forming an accurate copy and representation of daily life. As a result, a postmodern hyperspace is created. Such a hyperspace, particularly in the capitalist society, produces a split between human beings and their surroundings. The postmodern body thus loses the sensibility of space coordinate and aesthetics, which veils the real in life and causes the degradation of subjects’ professional skills. In aesthetic terms, hyperspace leads to the disenchantment and secularization of the meaning of space as well as the loss of the poetic in space life. The invasion into the private space and the “pollution” of the spiritual space are also negative impacts that are brought by hyperspace. Theoretical and practical solutions to these problems are indeed worth exploring.
