Abstract
“Non-aesthetics” put forward by Francois Laruelle on the basis of “non-philosophy” as a response to the conflict between philosophy and art in contemporary aesthetics. By introducing philosophy into the framework of natural science, especially physics, Laruelle attempts to challenge “philosophical decision” – the basis on which philosophy dominates other disciplines – in order to eliminate its negative influence on art. In this sense, philosophy can be “superimposed” or fused with art equally. For Laruelle, the production of this superposition and fusion is not so much an aesthetic paradigm as a new type of artistic practice, that is, “art-fiction”.
