Abstract
In August 1947， “Zhao Shuli's direction” was established in Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu （or Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan） Liberated Areas as the last cultural and literary flag set up in liberated areas. Its formation echoed the CPC cultural organizations’ guidance on Zhao's literary activities and recognition of his position， and also embodied Zhao's balance between the self and revolution. At the same time， this direction was also a result of the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Liberated Areas’ painstaking attempt to construct their own culture and to confirm their own cultural landscape. All these factors showed the cultural orientation and mechanism in liberated areas.
