Abstract
Geo-criticism proposed by Bertrand Westphal as a methodology in comparative studies is distinguished by interdisciplinarity and a plurality of perspectives. As a leading achievement in the field of spatial criticism, geo-criticism compares the forms of real and fictional representation in the postmodern context, explores the possible relations between literature and space, and explains the inherent interaction between the text and the world. It offers multiple interpretations and cuts across a rich variety of domains, hence easily free from the shadow of subjectivism and ethnocentrism. Geo-criticism serves as a significant contribution to the practice of theorization in the field of world literature studies.
