Abstract
The method of phenomenology has promoted the development in Chinese aesthetics and theory of literature, and brings about some new developments over the literary theory based on the theory of reflection. These developments include the practical-existential aesthetics, ecological-existential aesthetics and theory of literary activity. Anti-essence, the thought of becoming, the replacement of ontology with existentialism, and the undermining of dualism have all imbibed the method of phenomenology and been implied into the theories of literature and art to form a new trend in aesthetics. These development help to expand the scope of methodology and create new playground of the discipline of literary theories.
