Abstract
The concept of "Aestheticization of Everyday Life" cannot be readily transplanted from Western theoretical discourse. It has to reach an internal affinity with the socio-cultural transformation in contemporary China and over-generalized aestheticization so that it can integrate into the context of contemporary aesthetics research. The differences concerning the claim center round the different understanding of "everyday life" and "sensibility," while there is inherent theoretical continuity between the aestheticization of everyday life and the study of contemporary aesthetics and culture. The debates make it possible for the issue of "everyday life aesthetics" to become a new aesthetic discourse in reality.
